Grapefruit Daiquiris
1 half gallon 100% pink grapefruit juice
1/4 cup grenadine syrup (more if desired)
1/2 cup fresh lime juice
Rum
Slices of lime and grapefruit to garnish
Maraschino cherries if desired
A plate of sugar
Mix the first three ingredients in a pitcher. Taste it! If it's too sour, add more grenadine. Keep chilled until time to serve. Run a slice of lime around the rim of each glass, then turn the glass upside down on the plate of sugar so the sugar sticks to the glass. Fill glass with ice, add desired amount of rum, 2 oz. or so (or none at all for a virgin daiquiri!). Top off with juice mixture, garnish and serve. Makes about 8 drinks (8 oz each).
